Merry CHRISTmas!!
Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009
It has been a while since my last post…..tis the season to be overwhelmed!! Those of you who follow my blog may be wondering if I met those deadlines over a week ago like I had hoped……..sorry to say, no, I am still working on them. SO….I am making it my number one New Year’s resolution to paint “from the heart” one day a week…..no matter what! I have chosen Friday to be my “from the heart” day……I will keep you posted as to how that is working out.
Now onto better things……..

Wish I could have found our Santa hat to put on the babies for their Christmas photo opt but it is missing. They are still adorable without it

The photos below are of ornaments……one of my favorite things. Can you ever have too many ornaments? We have an annual tradition of going to “The World’s Largest Christmas Store”, Bronner’s, in Frankenmuth, Michigan. We all pick a new ornament for the tree……my parents go, too, and they let the boys choose a new ornament as well. So over the years we have collected a wide variety of ornaments. We also have a nice collection of my licensed ornaments, but the most priceless and precious ornaments are the ones that my children have made over the years….take a look……

One last thing before I go……I have heard (and felt myself at times) that the Christmas Season is rushed, busy & stressful……that Christmas has become too commercialized and all about the presents……..some folks even get down right grumpy and rude…….”happy holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”….etc, etc. A friend said something that really put it in perspective…….”be true to YOUR beliefs, don’t worry about what others are doing”……..say “Merry Christmas”, take time to enjoy the great things about Christmas like gathering with family & friends, Christmas music, drive around looking at Christmas lights, enjoy your church functions………remember it all (always) gets done and everything works out, no reason to stress. We are preparing for the greatest gift in the world….Jesus…..and if we keep that in our foremost minds and hearts, we will no doubt have a joyous Christmas Season.
I wish that for all of you…….Merry CHRISTmas!!
NEW ON ETSY
posted December 10, 2009

Even though my deadlines haven’t been met yet this week, I had to take a few hours today to finish these necklaces and upload them to my Etsy shop. I have had the pendants done (along with nine other non-Christmas ones) for over a month now but I’ve been so busy that I couldn’t find the time to finish them. But since Christmas is only two weeks away I had to at least finished the Christmas ones……yay! Hope you like them, click here to check them out.

OK…..are you wishing me luck to get through the week and meet all my deadlines? Here it comes, ready or not.
I would like to thank all of you who follow my blog, purchase from my website shop, etsy shop or ebay shop and to all of you who have purchased a product elsewhere featuring my artwork. Without you I wouldn’t be able to do what I do so I very much appreciate all of you. God Bless.
HAPPY DECEMBER!!

How time flies! I haven’t posted in over a week! I am swamped here at the studio working on a new fabric line, finishing up my Legacy 2012 calendar (I know….I still don’t have it done yet!) and designing 30 greeting cards for a boxed card set. Whew! However, I see light at the end of the tunnel. I am hoping to have all this completed by the end of next week…….at least that is the plan. Then… my favorite time in the world……..painting “from the heart”……meaning painting whatever strikes my fancy…..not thinking “will this license?” , “are these colors trendy?”, or “will anyone like this?”. Nope. None of those thoughts, just me, the canvas, brushes and paints. I crave this kind of creativity 11 months out of the year……so I can’t wait!!! I don’t get many opportunities to paint “from the heart” because I am so busy meeting deadlines and painting for a specific product. Wish me luck in meeting my goal next week so I can unleash my creativity!
Also my favorite time in the world is Christmas. I am looking forward to all the wonderful things that come along with this time of year. This weekend we are decorating the house and putting up the tree, next week is Ryan’s Christmas concert at school (love, love, love this), next weekend my friends are coming over for a sisterhood Christmas gathering……oh what fun!
