Spring is Coming!!
Wednesday, March 26th, 2008
by Teresa Kogut
Here in Michigan there are signs of Spring, very small signs, but we’ll take it! The temperature still reads “winter” but I’ve seen blue birds, robins, and the best sight ever……….new growth popping up through the dirt. My daffodils and crocus are about 1″ tall now. I look everyday just to see if they’ve grown more. The anticipation of flowers in the garden is as exhilarating to me now as Christmas morning was to me when I was a child.
Only 9 1/2 weeks left of school! To a child that may sound like a long time, but it will fly by! I get as excited as my kids do about the last day of school. For the past three years, Kyle and Ryan have had an end-of-the-school-year party at our house. On the last day of school, Kevin (my husband) and I pick up our boys and their friends and we spend the afternoon hanging out on the beach at our pond. We cookout, swim, have a huge water balloon fight, and swim some more. What a great way to end the school year!
